Cancer treatment is nearly $100 billion annually ($100,000,000,000). The chemotherapy part of that in 1995 was $8.5 billion. Looking at it from another angle: the Bristol Myers company owns patents on 12 of the nearly 40 "FDA-approved" chemotherapy drugs. The president, the past president, the chairman of the board, and several directors of Bristol Myers all hold positions on the board at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
As we have just seen, conventional cancer treatment is a multi-billion dollar a year industry. These huge profits are fiercely protected by the industry giants. But their treatments in no way address the underlying causes of cancer. Cancer is a nutritional, toxic, environmental condition which, in a great number of cases, can be reversed successfully through the application of a sound nutritional approach and common-sense lifestyle changes.

ReplyDeleteI have learned about Corporate America over the past 9 years. It's almost always about the bottom line, how much money can we make. Which can be good as it can give people jobs if a company is successful. However, there are several industries including two that you have spoken about, Health Care and the Food industries that they are proving it's not what's best for the consumer or society...it is what drives the most revenue!!
